Why Yoga?
Lots of exercises and practices can bring health to muscles, joints, bones and circulation, so why add Yoga to your life... In short, I've found nothing like it for lengthening & strengthening muscles while bringing relaxation & clarity of mind and body.
Yoga has changed my perspective on the "little things" - they seem to control me less and less - and Yoga has given me a better handle on the "big things" like acceptance and contentment.
Using your breath in Pranayama (breathing exercises) stimulates your para-sympathetic nervous system to relax your body and focus your mind. Breath focus further increases your ability to connect to core muscle control and create ease in your movement and ease in your strength-builiding asanas (postures).
Studying Hatha and Ashtanga in India led me to create a traditional yogic practice that applies an ancient wisdom to our modern lives. We focus on letting go of our ego, and receiving rather than achieving poses. In the small class environment, you and your classmates have maximum input in the direction and focus of each 4-week-series of custom classes.

Corinne Andrews
I'm a (proud) Colorado native who has "lived and learned' in many other parts of the world - including England, Japan, India, Laos, Thailand...
Before I explored other lands, I started doing yoga here in Colorado in 1995. My first experience as an instructor was in Japan from 2004-05.
In 2006, I received instructor certification in Hatha and Ashtanga at Yoga Vidya Gurukul in the Sahyadri mountains, near Nasik, India.
As an instructor, I want my students to feel like they can share their strengths & weaknesses openly with me, without any fear of judgment. Students are their own teachers in yoga - I am only there to guide in the search for unity between body & mind.
